When you investigate the root cause of any regressed society, you will discover that religion is the strongest force behind it. With the wings spread over continents and countries, a religion dictates how people work, form core groups, recreate, relax, marry, study, work, live, and die. In short, it dictates the productive, emotional, and belief systems of a person from birth to death.

The main problem with religion is it encompasses a huge number of people and it becomes a horrifying task for anyone to face such a mass maniacs. Socrates was killed, Galileo was killed, and innumerable thinkers are assassinated for voicing their counter arguments and contradicting the conventional belief system. If there are any intellects who know its vices, they get carried away in the crowd with the fear of being left out and isolated. More than the actual fools, I feel honest pity for people who struggle to act foolishly to mingle with fools.

Your food habits are derived from your ancestors’ eating habits; you eat the same without questioning its nutritional values. What you believe is influenced by people around you; you can’t question it once they declare it as divine. You make friends mostly with peers of your caste or religion because it offers familiarity and comfort zone. You watch the same movies, read the same books, watch the same TV programs what the people of your community are doing because you are never told to think or cross-question.

Your opinion of women is decided by the religion for you have observed your father, your grandfather, your friends, how they objectify and dehumanize women. You learn to successfully dominate them, rip off their self-respect, and treat them like sex-machines. Women in return obey your absurdity for they are trained from childhood to serve your whims and desires like slaves. They should not grow taller than men, should not get higher degrees than men, should not earn more, and abstain from sexual encounters because they are told that only such chaste women would go into good families for delightful after-married life.

When you have all of these things embodied into one unifying force that binds people in millions, why do you ask why are we underdeveloped. Ask the God to enlighten the devotees.

Yeah, when you say, we are developing, we have come a long way, look at the people in your birthplace and then rethink your statement. Don’t boast about the metro you are living in. Every damn country has got a few metros. Think about what I said while you are stuck in the lovely traffic with smoke entering your lungs profusely.
