Clash of the Radicals- Episode 1
Raghava’s intelligence awaits challenges- He is unaware of that
In the most silent place available sat Raghav, reading ‘Thus spoke Zarathustra’ and got indulged in ‘Ubermensch’ described by Nietzsche. As a subtle reader, he read every word and line with utmost focus and re-read some lines repeatedly to catch up what the author tried to convey in its complete sense.
After reading about 20 pages like that, he came out of the Hyderabad’s central library, which was a glorious place for readers and intellectuals. Now it has become more convenient and access is now liberal to read on Kindle whenever someone feels like. But for some strange reason, Raghava likes to read hardbound books in a traditional library. He had a distinction of things to which he should approach with modernity and tradition. The choice however at a given time is known only to him.
As he drove by the streets on his bike, he was thinking about the anti-thesis by Nietzsche about what western civilizations were implementing in his point of view. These lines for repeating themselves in his head “The last man is only possible by mankind having bred an apathetic person or ethnic group who are unable to dream, who are unwilling to take risks, and simply earn their living and keep warm.”
He reached home and his mom received him as usual. She was habituated with her son’s indulgence in books and they both sat down for lunch. She is a woman of the best understanding of her son more than anyone else in the world. She knows her son’s gentleman nature, intelligence, and intensity. The only thing she is worried about is her son’s lack of practical wisdom. Books are way ahead or way back to reality. She knows that her son is in more of an illusion when it comes to existential current reality which is why his intellectual knowledge sometimes fails him in matters of practical decisions.
Somewhere nearby, in the place where he is heading to very shortly, there are two people who are going to connect to this quality of him.
One who gets impressed by it and another who exploits it making his mother’s worry into a full-fledged reality.
