I left your door By R.Krishnamurthy
I left your door
On that fateful dusk
My destination was not clear
In your smiles I wanted to bask.
Perhaps you stood there
With a regretful sigh
Stuck on your cheek a tear
You allowed it to dry
I longed to look back
In fact I wanted to return
But what would you think
It pricked me like a thorn
I have accomplished the task
Had you yielded to me that night
I would not have taken any risk
But twenty years lost ,it’s all right.
