If you want to be creative, you should never become a genius
Out of the outer box- Your intelligence should not spoil your creativity
If your intelligence level goes up, you become more logical, more organized, and you start to flex your brain to think at a higher level of IQ.
But that lowers your creativity. Because creativity develops from imperfection, childishness, madness, and sometimes from disorientation.
Every genius starts off from the ground with creativity but later wants to shine through his/ her intelligence. When they become highly intelligent, they become extremely boring to the people who once appreciated them.
It’s because their thirst to be recognized as genius rather than creative, steals the shine of their out-of-the-box thinking. They get trapped in the new box which they once invented by coming out of existing boxes.
Any top film director of Indian Film Industry will stand as the best example for the theory. All those who started with new ideas, ended up boring to audience and diminished because of repeating their own style unbearable times. It’s because of becoming too much intelligent not to be understood by normal people.
So always creativity is more important than intelligence. Don’t stop when you think out of the box once in your life. Keep coming out of your own boxes regularly.
“Your thinking style should be like water. Formless, shapeless, uncatchable, and unexpectable but..should quench thirst whenever needed.”
