Indian Woman By R.Krishnamurthy
How long will you wait upon him
Doting upon him like a maid, unpaid
Trying to satisfy his every whim
Fancying one day he will be reformed
How long will you bear his tantrums
Dancing to his rhythm less tunes
Regarding his slurs as childish
Going through the household in a hush
How long will you retain your patience
Swallowing your pride in utter silence
Hoping for a change of his heart
While he is trying to tear you apart
Your tears when unleashed would be a flood
But your beliefs are holding them like a dam
Like a volcano, you are simmering inside
When you will burst is a question of time.
