Peace is an interlude- By R.Krishnamurthy
A war produces a hero
Leaving his wife a widow
His child is an orphan
His body is wrapped in a flag
The band plays a marshal song
A wreath is placed on his coffin
The war probably ends in a victory
He gets a gallantry award posthumously
His photo appears in the newspapers
The world lapses into a routine
Till there is another mutiny
It will reenact the tragedy.
If peace is a clear blue sky
War is like a dark cloud
Either is only an interlude.
