RRR- A Classic Opportunity wasted
It might seem bitter for those who loved the movie or to any of the fans of actors involved but this is just a personal opinion
After Bahubali Franchise, anyone one would expect the same kind of visual grandeur from the director Rajamouli. But it seems that RRR is written and made in a hurry to encash the humongous success of Bahubali 2.
The simple plotline of a girl taken away by British lady to her fort and Komaram Bheem trying to get her back while Ramaraju stops it as a cop is very very small for this kind of a cinema with a grand scale. If that’s the plotline, it should have been made with 2 ordinary actors and low budget. Marketing it as ‘Bringing back the glory of Indian Cinema in PVRRR’ is about building false hype and expectations.
Entire movie goes around jumping, thumping, and lead actors’ feats with wirework. Audience are not given a chance to connect to any emotion not any actor in the movie contemplate and gave a deep thought to audience as an experience. If that’s the case, we better watch fight scenes on YouTube on repeat mode.
Had it focused on the heroic acts and legendary lives of the two lead roles, the movie would have gone to another. Any PVR or Inox wouldn’t be able to hold the goosebumps of the audience.
One example of such scene is in Alluri Seetharamaraju movie made by Krishna. When Ramaraju attacks police stations and takes away their arms, he signs in the register challenging the system to catch him if it can. Another one is when Alluri Seetharamaraju and Ruther Ford confront each other. The feeling these scenes gave is unforgettable.
