To a beauty By R.Krishnamurthy
Lady, I worship thee like a deity
Maybe it is thy angelic face
One glimpse of it changes my fate
Even a devil forgets his cruelty
Lady I am enamoured of thy bosom
It spellbound me like a rose blossom
Even a king would give up his kingdom
If you demand it for his ransom
O,damsel, I am swayed by thy waist
My heart simply skips a beat or two
A sculptor will find there a statue
A marble chiselled will be a monument
O,maiden I will not ask thy age
I know you are still in your teens
Maybe seventeen, or sixteen
To be fair, you are not ready for marriage
O,darling, I wax like a poet laureate
Like an urn from Greece, you cast a spell
Don’t go away ,my poem is not over yet
I can breathe thy fragrance from a mile.
