Waiting for a train By R.Krishnamurthy.
I was waiting for a cousine
Who would arrive by a train
I bought a platform ticket as a routine
Though I was well known at the station .
I bought a newspaper as a habit
Although I had read it at home.
There was no announcement yet
I looked at the notice board
To know if the train was late
Somebody took my newpaper
and read it with keen interest
his motto seemed to be” better
borrow than buy”.As this iwas not
the first time I had lost a newspaper
I left the matter there.i thought
I should thank him .What would
I do with the paper execpt rolling
It and changing from hand to hand
How to get rid of it not knowing.
Mu cousin,I did not tell you about him.
Coming for a job interview . handsome
We have a trap for him. My cousin
That is my wife’s cousin
Is a match for him. There
Is the announcement in three
languages ,one after another.
Will you wait till I am free?
