You don’t buy a woman. You earn her.
“You don’t just buy a Bournville, you earn it”.
Indian men work hard in studies, so they know the value of degrees: they work hard in their profession, so they know the value of job and career: but they don’t work hard to get a woman.
With degrees, fat paying job, and inherited wealth they by default and on an automated basis get a woman who should have been earned with a lot of soul and character strength.
It”s human nature that when one gets something very easily, he will never understand its value even if it’s worth billions. So by the virtue of culture and arranged marriage system when a man buys a woman, she won’t be respected and valued.
In the aftermath of the marriage, those women feel bad about their husbands being misogynistic but they very well compromise by then.
‘You don’t just buy a woman, you earn her”. I think if that philosophy is really applied, millions of undeserving husbands will be divorced and thrown as “forever singles” on the road (As they don’t know and never can earn a woman).
